Thank you so much for introducing us to the Common Scents ionizes. They have been a tremendous tool in our disease management program. The health of our cats especially has greatly benefited from the machines. Since the animals we shelter are from a random source population, the chance for disease to be brought to the Shelter is high. Since most feline respiratory viruses are air bourne, by using an ionize and reducing the dust, the spread of airborne viruses has also been reduced. Since you have introduced me to the Alpine Industries Living Air Purifiers in December 1991, I have used them with many of our patients who suffer from severe upper respiratory allergies.

Most suffer from house dust, pollen, dander, mold, mildew and many chemical compounds. In every case the patients have responded with almost no attacks, while indoors.

These machines are excellent for removing the various allergens from the indoor environment, thereby alleviating allergic reactions. I should also mention that those with asthma do well on low settings.

I just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed having the "Refresh" unit for my refrigerator. I recently had a large party at my house with over 30 guests. This gathering lasted till after 3:00 a.m. in the morning. At this point, I was extremely tired and too tired to properly store my left over food.

One of the appetizer's that I served was Smoked Salmon with her bed cream cheese. As I was cleaning up afterwards, I just put that salmon and cream cheese in the refrigerator uncovered and would worry about the smell in the morning. To my surprise when I opened my refrigerator there was absolutely no odor!!! You cannot get that from any box of Arm and Hammer.

I purchased a Living Air Purifier several months ago and would like to tell you what a difference it has made in our home.

Both my son and I suffer from severe allergic rhinitis; I also have asthma. Each of us is extremely sensitive to dust. Since we began using the purifier, we have had fewer symptoms. We are able to breathe better, which allows us to sleep well at night; prior to obtaining the unit, we awoke coughing several times during the night. My allergist had recommended the use of an air purifier and was pleased with my choice of Living Air.

There is obviously less dust circulating in our home, because I have noticed that I do not have to polish the furniture as often as before. With my busy schedule, this is a definite plus.

The most outstanding difference has been the clean smell in our home, because this is noticeable to everyone who enters. I have owned an EcoQuest unit for 10 years. I know it works and I would not live without one. I wanted to tell you about an experience that I had this past spring.

We had a very large amount of rain and my eve spout broke on the outside of the house. When this happened a lot of water came into my basement and flooded all of my carpet. Well, I was sure that my carpet was done for, so after cleaning up the mess with fans and dehumidifiers, I checked out the prices for new carpet.

During the clean-up I ran the XL-15 at full speed to clean the terrible odors that come along with water damage. After one week the carpet was completely dry and NO SMELL! Now it is fall and I did not have to change the carpet.

I am writing you today to tell you how much we are enjoying our Flair Air Filter. We have had the air filter for about two weeks now and have already experienced some great results! First, the air in our home smells fresh, just as if it has just rained outside, all day every day. Secondly, we have two pure white cats and have had a problem with shedding for years. I seemed no matter how much I vacuumed, there was always more hair. But, just as you had indicated in your presentation, much of the hair is now burnt up, and the rest is easily removed by the vacuum cleaner. Finally, both our daughter, Kristen, and Weyman have severe allergy problems with pollen and dust. Since the second day of having the machine in the house, Weyman has not had to take any of his sinus medicine! He even awakens every morning with clear nasal passages and no congestions in his chest! The machine has also rid the house of all smells from where our females cat sprayed one room of our house! And we have not even placed the machine in that room yet. It has eliminated the odor just through daily use throughout the house!

I am a family practice physician at Carolina Primary Care in West Columbia, SC. A patient of mine who is 50 has had chronic allergic rhinitis and bronchitis symptoms for the last 18 to 24 months. Having committed nearly four months ago to the promotion of the Alpine living air products in my otolaryngology/allergy practice, I would like to express my thoughts on this matter.

It has always been my contention that an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure and that we in the practice of medicine and surgery are indeed remiss, when we fail to educate our patients in preventative measures. Indeed, it should go without saying that the avoidance of excessive exposure to allergens is far preferable to the expense, side effects, and complications of medical treatment, specific immunotherapy, and especially surgical interventions-all of which have their place but not as the initial line of defense. Advising one's patients to use the available technology to breathe fresh, clean indoor air must surely be considered by any reasonable person preferable to endoscopic sinus surgery, which incidentally is currently the number on source of medical litigation in the United States.

All too often we physicians are so busy putting out fires that we neglect to uncover simple measures that could prevent the problems we treat. Allergic rhinitis is a case in point with its para nasal sinus and pulmonary sequel. Anything we can do to lower the total allergic load on the immune system provides immense benefits. Thus environmental control has always been an important part of allergy practice. It is also well know among allergists that treatment of one's inhalant allergies also helps to control his or her food sensitivities. Thus far I have found other physicians to be most receptive to the unique benefits of the Alpine products.

As an Alpine distributor, I openly disclose my proprietary interest in Alpine products to my patients. I simply try to educate them about the product, pointing out the fact that we now have the technology available to produce fresh air indoors the same way that nature does outdoors. I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what a difference the Natural Air Model 50 has made in my life. For years, I had not been sleeping well and would always wake up with a headache and unable to breathe through my nose. We have been in the music business here in West Columbia since 1987. Several times a month we have live entertainment such as jam sessions, concerts, etc., and along with the great entertainment comes one major problem, the cigarette smoke. I've had Emphysema since April 1995. I am on Oxygen Treatment Twenty-four hours a day, plus other medication and breathing inhalers. I have a problem with maintaining my Blood Oxygen Level. Many time I had to go to the Emergency Clinic, after regular hours at Moncrief Army Hospital, because my Blood Oxygen Level was down between 80 to 85%.

My doctor wanted my Blood Oxygen Level above 90%. He kept changing my medication and trying me on different types of inhalers. Until he finally diagnosed the right formula to keep my Blood Oxygen up to 90% and above.

One day the telephone ran g and I answered, it was my wife's German Girlfriend, Hilda Smith. I told her my wife was not at home and we started talking about our breathing problems. Hilda informed me that Mr. Larry Harris from Classic Air Systems - 1113 Charleston Hwy, West Columbia, SC 29169, had brought a XL-15 Living Air Purifier made by Alpine Industries by so she could try it out for a week. She told me after about three days she was breathing better, feeling better and her sinuses were better.

After using the XL-15 Air Purifier for four days, I had a medical appointment with my doctor, Internal Medicine, Moncrief Army Hospital. When Dr. Ramage took my Blood Oxygen readings, it was 96%. He couldn't Believe it! After all the problems we had trying to raise my Blood Oxygen Level it never was higher than 92 to 93%. Now I had raised it to 96% which is 3 points increase in my Blood Oxygen Level.

I informed Dr. Ramage, that I had been using the Alpine AL-15 Air Purifier, that I was feeling a whole lot better , breathing better, and sleeping goof. I asked Dr. Ramage if he would give me a prescription for the Alpine Air Purifier to better my health with so I could get Medicare to reimburse me for the purchase price. Dr. Ramage gave me the prescription.

I just had to write you and thank you for introducing me to Alpine Air Purifiers. For the last 25 years I have suffered from allergic bronchial asthma. When I first went to an allergist he told me that I was allergic to everything in the air - pollen, dust, mold, mildew, etc. I tried allergy shots for about a year and they did not do me any good so I quit them. I hate needles and since they weren't doing me any good, I couldn't see any reason to continue them. The only other things the doctors could do for me was prescribe Theodur, Proventil Inhaler, Vanceril Inhaler and prednisone shots when I had acute flares. I hated taking all that medication.

I know, because I work in a doctor's office, that prednisone can kill you. You just feel better while you die. The Proventil and Theodur would make my heart race and gave me other unpleasant side effects. I would usually end up going to the emergency room approximately three time a winter and it always would be at 3 o'clock in the morning.

At any rate, after having my purifier for 6 months, I am TOTALLY medication free. For the first time in 25 years I am sleeping all through the night without having to wake up and spray my lungs several times through the night. In the past I never wanted to get too fart form my Proventil Inhaler - I would almost panic if I realized I had left it at home by mistake. It is really wonderful to be free of that. I had forgotten what it was like to breath like a normal person. It is fantastic.
